Welcome to Central Baptist Church

Welcome to Central Baptist Church (CBC) on the Web. CBC is a community in Rustenburg, in the North-West Province of South Africa, which seeks the glory of God, the growth of believers, the establishment of Christ’s church, and the salvation of the lost. At CBC, you will find a body of people who are far from perfect—but who will point you to the one who is.

Rustenburg is one of fastest growing cities in South Africa, located at the foot of the Magaliesberg mountain range. The scene around Rustenburg will bring you into a beautiful place with lots of history and tourist attractions.

At CBC, we are committed to the Bible as God’s inerrant and infallible word—our final authority for all matters of faith and practice. We believe that the faithful preaching and teaching of the Bible is essential to growth in the Christian life.

We are a largely Reformed church, committed to the historic doctrines of grace, which emphasise the biblical truth of God’s absolute sovereignty in salvation, and the five solas of the Protestant Reformation. We believe that salvation is by grace alone (sola gratia), through faith alone (sola fide), in Christ alone (solus Christus), according to Scripture alone (sola Scriptura), to the glory of God alone (soli Deo gloria).

We are committed to the Great Commission, seeking to faithfully do the work of evangelism in our community and praying for and supporting missionaries across the world.

We are committed to Christian fellowship. We seek to foster real Christian fellowship, mutual concern, and love in the life of the congregation. We desire to be what God calls his people to be: a family—naturally and practically caring for one another. Our goal is to be a loving community of believers in Christ, truly committed to one another.

We look forward to meeting you in person. Join us for worship on Sundays at 9:30 AM at 72 Nelson Mandela Avenue (Corner Beyers Naude) in Rustenburg.
